About this Report

Together with the Annual Report 2016, the Sustainability Report 2016 provides a comprehensive description of the performance of ProSiebenSat.1 Group on the basis of financial and non-financial information. This sustainability report complies with the core option of the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in the fourth generation (G4). [G4-32]

When defining the report content, we considered the principles of “stakeholder inclusiveness,” “sustainability context,” “materiality” and “completeness.” We also took general sustainability information and sector-specific disclosures according to the Sector Supplement for the media sector as a basis and prioritized them with regard to their relevance to ProSiebenSat.1’s business models. The content priorities thus derived are divided into five areas of action: “Public Value,” “Governance and Compliance,” “Digitalization and Innovation,” “Climate and Environmental Protection” and “Employees and Diversity.” The report focuses on the aspects that were identified as material in the ProSiebenSat.1 value chain. Selected disclosures and key figures were subjected to an independent audit with limited assurance by KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. Such audits are based on the relevant ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3410 standards. The audited disclosures and key figures are indicated in the GRI index by the following symbol: .[G4-33]

This sustainability report encompasses the applicable scope of consolidation of ProSiebenSat.1 Group as of the end of financial year 2016 and was published on June 14, 2017. The reporting period covers financial year 2016 and part of 2017, and the key figures generally relate to December 31, 2016. The financial data was taken unchanged from the Annual Report 2016 and refers to continuing operations. The editorial deadline for the activities and projects described in the report was June 1, 2017. The previous report containing extensive sustainability information on the 2015/2016 reporting period was published in September 2016.
