Climate and Environmental Protection

As a media company, ProSiebenSat.1 does not count among the energy-intensive manufacturing industries that use a lot of resources and have complex, global supply chains. For this reason, we have not identified any financial consequences or other material risks or opportunities posed by climate change for our business activities at present. Nonetheless, we can help to slow down climate change and conserve our environment by taking care in the way we use resources and, for example, reducing our energy consumption and CO2 emissions through targeted measures.

With its stations, ProSiebenSat.1 Group reaches around 44 million TV households in its TV markets every day in addition to around 24 million unique users every month via its web offerings in Germany. The distributed content contributes to the information diversity and opinion-making of viewers and users.

We are aware of this high level of journalistic and social responsibility. Therefore, we use the wide reach of our media in a targeted way in order to shine a spotlight on important ecological, social and sociopolitical issues and thus to make a contribution to society as a company.

Governance and Compliance

ProSiebenSat.1 Group follows a policy of compliance. The Executive Board is convinced that sustainable economic success in competition is only possible on the basis of lawful action. The prevention of corruption and violations of antitrust law and media law are important success factors for the market position and the attainment of the targeted corporate objectives. Due to the increasing digitalization of our business operations, data protection forms another central pillar of the compliance management system (CMS).
